Fantasy Stampers - Peaches and Cream

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a good week and something nice planned for the weekend. We have had a busy week visiting people and looking for a new vacuum cleaner after our  old one broke. As we are looking after our daughter's rabbits, who are rather messy, I didn't want to be without a vacuum cleaner for too long. We picked it up yesterday and I am very pleased with it.

The new challenge starts today on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the new theme is Peaches and Cream. That is such a pretty colour combination.

For the background I used the Victorian Swirl Embossing folder by Tattered Lace. I embossed some cream card and then some peach card and I cut them in half and  I tried the halves together to see which  combination I liked best.

The roses were created with the Altenew Build-a- rose stamp and die collection that came free with Simply Cards and Papercraft a few months ago. It is nice to have the dies that match the stamps.

This Happy Birthday stamp came free with another magazine a while ago.

I did enjoy using these stamps again.

If you check back tomorrow on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the winners of the last challenge will be announced.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Kusudama Flower table decoration

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I am enjoying what I think is called a Staycation. My husband has taken the week as leave and we are having a lovely time catching up with friends, going out and going to the cinema. We do love going to see films.

I did get the Save the Dare fridge magnets finished. So that is the first wedding job done. There are many more to come.  We have been talking about table decorations and I have been having a play.

We had been thinking about paper flowers and I remembered I had been given and Kusudama ball kit by my crafty friend. This is just a play. We did see in one shop a jam jar with lace stuck on it, which I thing would look nice, selling for £6. They would be so easy to make. If you mention weddings the price just seems to shoot up. There is a battery tea light in the bottom it doesn't show to well in the sun.

I have seen these flowers before I was surprised how easily they went together. The centres are Babies Breath with Bead from Hobbycraft.

Here are the fridge magnets. They are just a bit smaller than A7. I actually bruised on of my fingers cutting the magnetic tape to stick on  the back. .

I made a box to keep them together. Our daughter did draw the picture herself it is her rabbits as a bride and groom. Yes the boy rabbit is smaller than the girl rabbit.

This is just a first experiment. I am not sure how table decorations will work out but it will be a fun project to work on.

Have a great day. We are just off to a Silver Screen screening at the cinema.

Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine - Free papers issue 155

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Happy Sunday. It seems a bit cooler here today so it will be easier to get some of the jobs done in the house. I am hoping to get my new craft storage into place today. It is going to be quite a big job.

Quite a while ago now I was sent the free bonus papers that are in this month's edition of Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine (Issue 155). The papers have a tropical theme.

I loved the lovely summery papers that I was sent. The ruffle ribbon was in my stash.

I made  feature of the flamingos across the centre of the card. I do like my mats and layers. I used pink and turquoise card to create them.,

These are the flamingos at Bristol Zoo. I took this picture last week when we visited the Zoo which will be the venue for our daughter and her fiance's wedding this time next year.

My card didn't make it into the magazine but it was featured on the Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine Facebook page. This is where this picture has come from.

I hope that you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Alphabet Challenge Blog - K - for Kindness

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a good week. I have been making the most of my time off. I have been able to do  a bit of crafty experimenting. Today I am hoping to get a long way with the Save the Date cards for our daughter and her fiance. They are visiting this evening as we will be looking after their rabbits for them so they can go away for a few days.

The new challenge starts on the Alphabet Challenge blog the letter is K and the theme is Kindness. I must admit this theme was chosen by me and I will be choosing the top three. I was thinking of Sympathy cards, Get Well cards or Thinking of You cards. One of the design team made a Thank You card - I didn't think of that but it does fit nicely with the theme.

I started by creating the background with the Heart Lattice Embossing Folder. I used white card and once embossed I inked over it to bring out the detail of the embossing. The gold lattice was made with a Spellbinders die and the Oval frame was made with the Innsbruck die set from the Austrian collection by Sue Wilson.

I used a Thinking of you die set and the Pierced Flag dies by Sue Wilson  to create the sentiment.

I do love the Sue Wilson poppy dies they make such beautiful flowers. The foliage was made with the Olive Branch die set.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. My husband has next week as leave we have lots of plans I doubt that we will get everything done.

A Sunflower Leaving Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Today is the last day of school for six weeks. For the me the holiday starts at 12:00. I probably won't get away then you know how it is saying goodbye to people.

This is another of the leaving cards I made for the end of term. It is okay to share this card now as the lady in question has received it. This is another A4 card that was signed by lots of people.

I bought the  Spellbinders sunflower die set so that I could decorate a gift bag for the wedding last week. I knew the bride would be carrying sunflowers. I liked the sunflowers so much I decided to use them on the leaving card as well. I must mention that I am getting on very well with my Spellbinders Platinum machine I am using the plates from my old Grand Calibur with it.

The die set comes in multiple parts and you cut them several times to make the sunflowers.

This central section was made with the Sue Wilson Just for you die set.

Here is the decorated gift bag I think I made it just a bit more special. I did add a tag with the bride and groom's names on.

I have a few days at home on my own before my husband is on leave the following week. I am hoping to make some head way with the Save the Date cards for our daughter's wedding and I would like to get ahead with my design team projects.

I would like to enter the Summer Stop Challenge at Cuttlebug Mania Challenge Blog and Week 238 at Pixie's Snippets Playground.  I would also like to be considered for the Design Team Call at Papermill Direct.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

My Husband's Birthday Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you had a great weekend and that you got done all the things that you wanted to do. We had a great time at Bristol Zoo it is a stunning location for a wedding. We have just a year to get it all planned and sorted. There is so much to do. I have made a list and my first job is to make  the Save the Date cards.

You know me I do like to get ahead with my card making. Someone at work gave me some cards to upcycle and when I saw the image of the wine bottle I knew just what I wanted to do and who for.

I bought the Happy Birthday paper at a Craft Fair a while a go this was a good opportunity to use it.

I also had treated myself to the Heartfelt Creations Italiana Grapvines stamps and matching dies a while ago. They work brilliantly together. I stamped onto watercolour card with black archival ink and everything was coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, I do love those pens.

This is my Sue Wilson Happy Birthday die it works so well for mens cards.

It is fine to share this card my husband is not interested in social media. He does like a nice bottle of red wine though.

Have a great week.

Fantasy Stampers - Clean and Simple

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Welcome to the weekend. I hope you have something nice planned. This post will be scheduled as when is it published we will be on our way to Bristol to visit the Zoo (the venue for the wedding) with our daughter, her fiance and his parents. We are going to be shown round and we will be able to ask questions. I am hoping that we will be able to look at some hotels for accommodation for the wedding as well. It is going to be a long a busy day.

Today sees the start of a new challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog. The theme is Clean and Simple.

I do like these CAS style cards.

This butterfly is a Sheena Douglas stamp that came with one of the issues of the Inspiration Magazine by Crafter's Companion. The butterfly was stamped in black archival and coloured with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens - I do love them.

The sentiment is from Dreamees it was part of a members gift from Create and Craft.

I cut the border with a Crafter's Companion die set.

I enjoyed making this card. I you check back on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog tomorrow the winners of the last challenge will be announced.

Happy Crafting.

Mr and Mr Wedding Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a great week. We had a lovely time on the school trip yesterday we had been invited by the local model railway society to come and enjoy their trains. There were only ten children and as many adults and we just kept riding round on the trains all day. The children loved it.

I know a couple who are getting married in August and I wanted to make a card for them.

I haven't gone mad it is a Mr and Mr wedding. The first  have made a card for this type of event.

The central topper was made with a Crafter's Companion die. It was a Mr and Mrs die but I removed the s from the Mrs to make Mr and Mr. I am pleased with the die I think it will be very useful.

I decorated the background with a Sue Wilson  Mr and Mrs die. I did buy this set first but I decided to buy the other die as it was a bit larger for the focal element.

This Congratulations is a Tattered Lace die.

I was worried I was going to leave an s on one of the die cuts I had to keep checking.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting.

Daisy Cluster - Thank You

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I have been very tired since the weekend we did so much. I feel like I am playing catch up with myself. The end of term is in sight and I nearly have all the leaving cards sorted.

I needed a thank you card  to give to the teacher I have been working with this year.

I must admit that I used a card blank and mats and layers that were from a project I started but it went in a different direction. That did save me a bit of time on this occasion. The patterned paper was part of a bundle I got from a craft workshop I attended recently.  I added some Candi to the corners.

I cut the main die from the Daisy Cluster Die set in green Centura Pearl card and the flowers in mauve. Pearls were added to the centre of each daisy.

I used the oval die from the Thank you die set to cut a white oval and the two dies together to cut the sentiment.

Here is a picture from the wedding on Saturday the bride and groom are with my husband's parents the bride's grandparents.

I am on another school trip tomorrow this one should be fun it is to a Model Railway open day.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Tattered Lace - Out for a Stroll

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a good weekend. We had a lovely time at the wedding and the Harry Potter Studio Tour.

This is my last post as part of the Tattered Lace television sample design team. I have decided after just ten months to step down. I was finding it hard to find time to make all the samples. The last set of dies I was sent went on sale at the weekend they were the Lace Edged Essentials Oval die set and the Emma and Purdy die set.

Here are all the cards I sent in.

I made this card with the Purdy die and some fabulous backing paper.

Here is the card being shown on TV live from Doncaster Racecourse.

I created the background for this card with water colour pencils.

I just used the Oval die set to create this card.

I used all the dies I was sent to create this easel card it was the first one I made.

I made a stencil with the die to create this card.

Here is a card that was made live on TV.

I hope you have a great week. I will get back to visiting and commenting tomorrow.
